The long-life, hardness, and quality of porcelain tiles make them better for high foot traffic areas. They are resistant to scuffs and scratches. For the home areas with more footfall, like the kitchen or living room, porcelain tiles are hardwearing. 

Tight Budget

If you are low on budget, it is better to go with ceramic tiles. It's because they are cheaper than porcelain and do offer qualities that are bearable for interior constructions. But make sure that you do not use these in wet areas or high footfall areas. However, for DIY projects, they can work well.
